Being born again happens after we crucify ourselves with Jesus to sin, and promise to live to please him, we repent of our sins and have faith that Jesus' blood washes us clean. We are at that time born again when we receive the Holy Spirit. We don't have any sins, we are sinless like a new born baby. We then live up to that by living our lives obeying Jesus and training ourselves.

Jesus warns us for a reason. Your insults about the flesh are some kind of weird teaching, for the scriptures only speak against the flesh of humans who sin with their flesh.

No such thing what you are saying.

You don't even know that the Jews had to do the purifying works themselves before Jesus.

It is a Calvin and Luther sin and detriment to their teaching, and that is that they fail to recognize the Jews and the old law works that are the purification works, and, they misunderstand Paul about not of works.

I have faith in everything Jesus says.

Go to my thread about eating Jesus.
That is probably one of the best statements I have read here at talk Jesus since I've been on this forum.

"Being born again happens after we crucify ourselves with Jesus to sin."

That is so true

Thank you, I am so enjoying this moment after reading you say that and being someone who agrees, it is great to have agreement in the truth with another human about God.

After ? Where and when did the loving commandment come from needed to know .(Crucify yourselves ) Ones own imagination? Cracker Jack box?

We are not the Creator of new creatures . No one can save their own self not even Jesus the Son of man . He cried out for that power that works within those yoked with Christ.

Mark 14:36 And he said, Abba, Father, all things are possible unto thee; take away this cup from me: nevertheless not what I will, but what thou wilt.

Romans 6:6 We know that our old self was crucified with Him so that the body of sin might be rendered powerless, that we should no longer be slaves to sin.

Colossians 3:3 For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God.

Galatians 5:24 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.

Galatians 5:16 So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.

Galatians 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ, and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave

Colossians 2:20 If you have died with Christ to the spiritual forces of the world, why, as though you still belonged to the world, do you submit to its regulations:

1 Peter 2:24 He Himself bore our sins in His body on the tree, so that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. "By His stripes you are healed."

Colossians 3:3 For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God.

Galatians 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ, and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave

There is no scripture anywhere that says we can't obey God.

You are believing and preaching falseness from those who misunderstood Paul.
Mark 14:36 And he said, Abba, Father, all things are possible unto thee; take away this cup from me: nevertheless not what I will, but what thou wilt.
Jesus did the will of God and not the will of a man.
He finished God's work.
He died, ascended to hell, and then on the third day he raised himself.

Thank you, I am so enjoying this moment after reading you say that and being someone who agrees, it is great to have agreement in the truth with another human about God.
Jesus tells us to follow Him.
To Love with all your heart.
The greatest gift is to lay your life down for another.

All these things and many more point to the cross. To suffer with Him for the sake of others.

To suffer with Him for the sake of others.
Well not sure that is scriptural to say we have to suffer with him for the sake of others.
Where do you get that?
Why would we have to suffer for the sake of others?

How do we obey him the first time ? Obey what ?

If God does not work in us to both give us his understanding and empower us to do his good pleasure . Can we save our selves ? Can we obey ourselves . Can we turn God to accept our offer .

I have offered the verse below before it seem you are ignoring what it says ..

The commandment that we must obey says to "work out our salvation with fear and trembling" the reason we can . "For it is God which worketh in you" .Without him we can do zero

Can we perform the first work of repenting without him empowering us to both hear and do it ? Can we save ourselves ?

Three simply verses (the gospel)

Philippians 2: 12-13 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure. Do all things without murmurings and disputings:

What your understanding in your words . We have to repent first ?

Sorry not meant to offend

Sarcasm (get under the skin or prick the flesh ) if done right is not foreign from the approach of the Son of man, Jesus . Like calling the sarcastic Pharisees a brood of viper .

I am not promoting it but rather more of a answer to sarcasm . Like one poster said . So you did what the tax collectors and prostitutes did to enter?

Proverbs 26:4 Answer not a fool according to his folly, lest thou also be like unto him.Answer a fool according to his folly, lest he be wise in his own conceit.

I am not calling him a fool Only God can see ito the hearts of all men and give them a desire to do His good will to his good pleasure .

Or another.. I already gave you scriptures that TELL US TO SAVE OURSELVES by obeying God.

There is no scripture that say we can save our own self by doing any work natural man has no faith that comes from hearing God therefoe without the faith of Christ they can do nothing .

It boils down to us born with no faith ( no power) that could please .the author and finisher of faith (his reveled understanding Faith must be defined as to who it comes from what it does and does not do.

Mark 6:6 And he marvelled because of their unbelief. (no faith not little) And he went round about the villages, teaching.

Romans 11:32 For God hath concluded them all in unbelief, (no faith not little) that he might have mercy upon all.

Deuteronomy 32:20 And he said, I will hide my face from them, I will see what their end shall be: for they are a very froward generation, children in whom is no faith.(no faith not little)

Well not sure that is scriptural to say we have to suffer with him for the sake of others.

Why would we have to suffer for the sake of others?

I would think not for the sake of one self. But a much bigger family than a single child . We suffer daily longing for our new incorruptible bodies that will never die Yoked with Christ the daily burden is made lighter .

Matthew 18:20-22King James Version For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them. Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times?
Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.

Matthew 6:15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

Jesus tells us to obey him, for to obey him is love.

That is what Jesus did for us.

It's humorous reading to be certain of that.

You'll have to forgive me but when I read it I think to myself I know he thinks that he is knowledgeable on things but this goes back to something I wrote Somewhere Else maybe in this thread I don't quite remember about how everyone always thinks they're a meat eater when in truth or only a vegetarian

And even if a person does know all the scripture by heart and understands every verse that's in the scripture that person is still a vegetarian when it comes to other things like walking in the Lord in spirit

How do we obey him the first time ? Obey what ?
The first thing Jesus teaches is repent of your sins.
If God does not work in us to both give us his understanding and empower us to do his good pleasure . Can we save our selves ? Can we obey ourselves . Can we turn God to accept our offer .
ALL, ANYONE, WHOMEVER can believe and obey Jesus.
I have offered the verse below before it seem you are ignoring what it says ..
I would not ever do that.
Let me see it and I will reply.
The commandment that we must obey says to "work out our salvation with fear and trembling" the reason we can . "For it is God which worketh in you" .Without him we can do zero
That scripture is AFTER we are saved.
By the way, you never brought that scripture up to me before.
Can we perform the first work of repenting without him empowering us to both hear and do it ?
YES.
Can we save ourselves ?
I gave you the scriptures that say so.

Here they are again.

1 Timothy 4:16 Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.

Acts 2:40 With many other words he warned them; and he pleaded with them, “Save yourselves from this corrupt generation.”

Jeremiah 51:45 Come out of her, My people! Save your lives, each of you, from the fierce anger of the LORD.

Ezekiel 3:19 But if you warn a wicked man and he does not turn from his wickedness and his wicked way, he will die in his iniquity, but you will have saved yourself.

Philippians 2:15 so that you may be blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and perverse generation, in which you shine as lights in the world
Three simply verses (the gospel)

Philippians 2: 12-13 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

When someone comes to Jesus to be saved, they have to do what he says to do to be saved.

We have to be thirsty for him and being a child of God's, we have to want to be a child of God's more than we want anyone and anybody, even more than our own life. We have to admit we are a sinner. We have to know what are sins are and be sorry for them, confess them to Jesus, and repent of them. We are to die to the sins of the world and promise to live to please Jesus...like a little child who is must do everything their parent says to do.
We have to do what God says to do.

We have to know that we can never give up, give out, or give in.

Jesus tells us to obey him, for to obey him is love.

That is what Jesus did for us.

When we come to Jesus to be saved, we promise to die to the sins of the world, we crucify ourselves to the sins of the world and live to please Jesus by obeying him.

hahahaha

You were more sarcastic though than truthful with that remark you made.
However, I like you Garee, at least you will talk to me, unlike the many others here.

I am not sure what your point is.

Could you explain?

I like that scripture about we have to forgive others...but it proves my beliefs and goes against what you have been believing and preaching.

Because Jesus asked us to follow him
How do you get it is to live a life of suffering?
It hurts for a little while giving up a sin, but not to the point of shedding blood.
It is a wonderful thing to obey Jesus and live obeying him.
It isn't a life of suffering, it is joy in the Spirit to live a life in the Lord.

Suffering can be looked at in many ways . Fasting as a good example. And John the Baptist did not live a life of luxury. Went to the desert and ate locusts. And what does Jesus say of him?

The Apostles gave up everything to be with Jesus . No luxury hotels for them .

And what does Jesus say about those who live in luxury. Easier for a camel to go through the eye of the needle ( man door ) than for a man in luxury to get to heaven.
