What do you believe?

What does "call no man father" mean - and WHO was it directed to? Does that mean I can't call my father - father? Does it mean I can't call my pastor 'pastor?' Look at who Jesus is talking about - the Scribes and Pharisees. Look at what Jesus says about them and put this all in context
Hi Thanks .I would offer.

It would seem obvious in respect to our Spiritual unseen Holy Fathe. He did not say don't call your dad father.

In that way father is used in two ways in the Bible.

One to represent the fathers a law of men oral traditions of dying mankind .They worship a legion of fathers called Patron saints as if the Legion of fathers made up the one invisible father.

Born again Paul formally the Christians murderer as Saul.He became number one on the most wanted dead or alive .Paul rather than worship as ligion of father worshiped the good of the fathers. They tried to prove sola scriptura (all things written in the law and prophets was heresy so they could keep their own I heard it through fathers grapevine Traditions of dying mankind

Why do you think he lovingly commanded his children to call no man on Earth Holy Father, Holy See, Bishop of Rome, Vicar of Jesus Christ, Successor of the Prince of the Apostles, Supreme Pontiff of the Universal Church, Primate of Italy

Acts 24:13-14Neither can they prove the things whereof they now accuse me. But this I confess unto thee, that after the way which they call heresy, so worship I the God of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the law and in the prophets:(sola scriptura)

God of the fathers .Not a legion fathers as one God not inspiration from above

Why would you call out Catholics? Why even Rome? That's the issue with you guys - you have zero evidence. All you do is point the finger. You really have a stick up your butt about Catholics huh?

Should I take you to school and spoon-feed you the truth about all this nonsense?

Just so you know, I'm more of a Catholic than anything else. Calling Catholics Primates out-does it! Don't be a ****.

Thats not my goal that sounds like selfish pride. Catholicism a dark place in need of the light of sola scriptura

Why do you think he lovingly commanded to call no man on earth Father? What is the spiritual understanding?

Only from your perspective, Bill. Some people think the "created in their image" phrase means that God actually has a physical body because we do.

Isn't that crazy? Or do you believe that too?

Thanks,
Rhema
I get that from the different village idiots, from time to time. If they can emulate some form of intelligent communication, most have never studied the Scriptures and many obtain their information from party groups as they smoke, snort, shoot, and throw back shots and sip beers.

Just curious, do you really believe that baptism (... participation in the rite of baptism as overseen by a valid priest) confers salvation?

That the sole purpose of the Church is to meet out the seven sacraments to the peoples of the world?

And again, not to inflame or incite, when you say Catholic... have you given thought to the Orthodox Catholic Church? If I had to choose, I think I would be more inclined to the Orthodox position rather than to the Roman.

Also I am curious as to the response your priest (who is without doubt a very wonderful man... I've met many) would give when you have that discussion on the Trinity.

Is Mary indeed the Mother of God?
Transubstantiation?
Purgatory?
The value of monetary donations having merit towards salvation?

Look, BW... you have said (in the above quote) that you are more of a Catholic, so I'm just asking to see how much more.

Kindly,
Rhema

And you still can't bring your arrogant self to admit you don't know what 'call no man father' actually means.
Within context, perhaps Garee just hasn't realized that to Jesus' audience of Jews, "Father" meant Father Abraham.

BUT... the functional equivalence of "Rabbi" would mean pastor or father within the Christian milieu. If a supposed leader of Christians can't even figure out this simple command, where could they possibly lead you in righteousness?

So does that mean yes or no?

Your reply is very similar to those I get from the different village idiots, from time to time.

Please, the village idiot file is bursting from the past and recent flood gate being in disrepair, don't force me to start another folder. Twice I clearly expounded on the Scriptural Context and I do not want to notify the Police to do a Drive-By Wellfair check. I think you enjoy playing super stupid and you already know I will try not to report you for trolling but I have not written that idea in stone... there are limits

Report all you'd like Bill. You don't bother me one wit, but you'd only make yourself an embarrassment for being unable to answer with a clear yes or no to the question about your "made in God's image". But never mind. You'll post one or two more grumpy and bitter replies belittling everybody else without adding anything of substance to the conversation.

That's how you roll.

God bless,
Rhema

After reading this post, I find it interesting to see the various points of view represented here. However, I also see a lot of pride and arrogance in some of the responses. It's wonderful to have passion and fervor in your beliefs, but introducing pride and arrogance is never a positive development. Most non-Christians will tell you that the feeling of being looked down on or judged by "Christians" is one of the major reasons they don't return to a church. We are to be the representatives of Christ and show his influence on our daily walk. Upon my return here I see a lot of petty one-upmanship in these posts. These are not productive to God or our mission to bring souls to him. Just an observation, we can discuss theology all day but let's be respectful and truly try to understand the varying points of view.

Garee... they're the people who put your sola scriptura together.

Thanks
I think I understand how you come to that conclusion .

1 Corinthians 4 6-7And these things, brethren, I have in a figure (parable) transferred to myself and to Apollos for your sakes; that ye might learn in us not to think of men above that which is written, (sola scriptura) that no one of you be puffed up for one against another.(venerable)

Rather than trusting the word Apostle a sent messengers (UPS ,Western Union, Pony Express , myself . . .my wife errand boy and the treated them as gods they can come with even after they die . venerabl dying mankind that lord it over the faith of the non-venerable puffed up ones

Just as he inspires one word he indores the whole cannon .

Why would a person trusts your idea ofered? Its not the Poe that makes men deifent

For who maketh thee to differ from another? and what hast thou that thou didst not receive? now if thou didst receive it, why dost thou glory, as if thou hadst not received it?

Thanks

I doubt it.

It's called history.

And I don't think you study history in depth.

Why would a person trusts your idea ofered? Its not the Poe that makes men deifent
One cannot trust your ideas offered because they are written as one who is mentally challenged.

Perhaps you could take some courses in English to help you better express what you offer?

Just as he inspires one word he indores the whole cannon .
And as an example... "indores" ???

Would you consider proofreading your posts, perhaps two or three times even? (Add a spell checker?)

The ONLY canon that was given through an Apostle is that canon held by the Church of the East. A church that rejected Revelation.

YOU don't have the right canon, my friend.

God bless,
Rhema

Maybe you have a friend who could read your posts before you send them out into the world. One who could help you make sense?

Words of truth.

Well how good of you to look down upon us.
Your arrogance is noted, You seem to attempt to cause strife in every post I have seen you in. I guess you are not of the faith and are only here to cause discourse or are truly deceived. I find you rather humorous if I'm being honest.

If I were to go to a church where their beliefs align perfectly with mine... that's just not going to happen anywhere! I go to Christ the King Parish for the music, which is the best in town, and the message because I believe FATHER RICH is the best messenger in town.

But with me it is a very small thing that I should be judged of you, or of man's judgment: yea, I judge not mine own self. For I know nothing by myself; yet am I not hereby justified: but he that judgeth me is the Lord.
(1 Corinthians 4:3-4 KJV)

(In your own arrogance you seemed to have missed the above memo.)

That's not what I asked.

So... noted that you refuse to answer and would rather live in your own religious fantasies than deal with truths.

Remember that when the Catholics kick you out too.

In love,
Rhema

I wasn't interested in answering your question because you'd nit-pic it all apart and find dozens of things to complain about. If you don't like Catholic's - or anybody else that's fine. I'm not interested in your negativity.
