If you read the statement I made, they read and read but failed to see. Please quote the verse where you see the Messiah referring to Mary as His mother.
I'm not saying that Mary isn't the Messiah's mother. I'm saying that 2 of the 3 times that He addresses her that He simply refers to her as a woman. I find that odd. You apparently don't.So when you see Elizabeth making the statement in the scripture, you have three individuals witnessing to the fact that Mary is the mother of my Lord.
Yes there are a lot of things in Scripture that don't make a lot of sense. Like the stone rolling back for Jesus to get out of the Tomb, do you think Jesus needed to have the stone rolled back. What about Jesus saying that he has to leave so that the Holy Spirit could come. We know for a fact that the Holy Spirit was there with Jesus when he was baptized, also it was the Holy Spirit that inspired Elizabeth to speak when Mary encountered her. So why is it so important that Jesus has to leave?I'm not saying that Mary isn't the Messiah's mother. I'm saying that 2 of the 3 times that He addresses her that He simply refers to her as a woman. I find that odd. You apparently don't.
I know that Mary in her humility would never give herself any honor other than to be the mother of Jesus. And to be honest what greater honor can anyone ever have than to be called the mother of Jesus. It is interesting that Jesus makes a point to never call her mother in the word of GOd, and then gives us a definition of his mother and brothers, bottom line is anyone who gives Mary any Glory is robbing God of his glory. She deserves respect as all brothers and sisters in Christ do, but any more then that like putting on a pedestal, making statues of her, or stain glass windows of her is wrong and non biblical.
Jesus’ Mother and Brothers
(Mark 3:31–35; Luke 8:19–21)
46. While Jesus was still speaking to the crowds, His mother and brothers stood outside, wanting to speak to Him.
47. Someone told Him, “Look, Your mother and brothers are standing outside, wanting to speak to You.”e
48. But Jesus replied, “Who is My mother, and who are My brothers?”
49. Pointing to His disciples, He said, “Here are My mother and My brothers.
50. For whoever does the will of My Father in heaven is My brother and sister and mother.”
Who inspires the Scripture? Who is the Word of God? Is Jesus God?Please quote the verse where you see the Messiah referring to Mary as His mother.
Even if your theory is correct - and I think it's a stretch - I am referring to His time on earth when He is functioning as the Messiah.Who inspires the Scripture? Who is the Word of God? Is Jesus God?
It is written, the gospel of Matthew chapter 2 verse 11 and going into the house they saw the child with his mother Mary, and falling to their knees they did him homage.
The Gospel of Luke chapter 1 verses 40 through 45, she went into Zachariah's house and greeted Elizabeth. Now as soon as Elizabeth heard Mary's greeting, the child lept in her womb and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy spirit. She gave a loud cry and said, of all women you are the most blessed, and blessed is the fruit of your womb. Why should I be honored with a visit from the mother of my Lord? For the moment you're greeting reached my ears, the child in my womb lept for joy. Yes blessed is she who believed that the promise made to her by the Lord would be fulfilled.
If the Holy Spirit says "mother of my Lord"
Is it just the Holy Spirit who is speaking or is it God who speaks?
He said today woman this is your son.. He had flesh brothers yet He told this to His disciples to take care of her n then He said it is finished before He gave His spirit up . Shows we r family by Spirit..Brother Sonny, regardless of what denominations give her great spiritual position - TRUTH speaks for itself and it is stronger than man's views or religions.

"why Jesus, in his most painful moments at the cross, asked his disciple to take care of his Mother"
What exactly does that have to do with the way people look at Mary? He was expressing the need for his human earthly brothers to take care of their elderly mother, Mary. This does not imply anything to do with her being more than just an earthly mother, for that is what she was. Blessed, but still human and earthly.
I'm not aware of any scripture which says that. What do you have in mind?He told this to His disciples to take care of her
What are you not aware of?? Do you not spend time with the Lord..I'm not aware of any scripture which says that. What do you have in mind?
I'm not aware of any scripture that says it's okay to fly a airplane, does that mean it's evil to do that?I'm not aware of any scripture which says that. What do you have in mind?
You said that the Messiah told His disciples to take care of Mary. Where did He say this? What are you not aware of??
You said that the Messiah told His disciples to take care of Mary. Where did He say this?
Some extra insight:John 19:26-27
"When Jesus therefore saw his mother, and the disciple standing by, whom he loved, he saith unto his mother, Woman, behold thy son!
Then saith he to the disciple, Behold thy mother! And from that hour that disciple took her unto his own home."
Who said that it is?I'm not aware of any scripture that says it's okay to fly a airplane, does that mean it's evil to do that?
Maybe, but you're only assuming that was what He was saying. When the scripture tells us that Jesus said mother this is your son son this is your mother seems to me that Jesus is telling the Apostle to take care of his mother.
What scripture says that?Have you already forgotten the great honor that the Israelites had for the Ark of the Covenant. Even though the two stone tablets were missing they still had great reverence for the Ark of the Covenant.
Of course not, but what's your point?Have you forgotten already what the scripture says. When Elizabeth saw Mary, that Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit and with sudden knowledge knew that Mary was the mother of the Messiah. And that the Holy Spirit inspired Mary to save, from this day forward all nations will call me blessed.
I'm not.So if you are not calling Mary blessed...
I don't see where the Messiah told the disciple to take care of Mary.John 19:26-27
"When Jesus therefore saw his mother, and the disciple standing by, whom he loved, he saith unto his mother, Woman, behold thy son!
Then saith he to the disciple, Behold thy mother! And from that hour that disciple took her unto his own home."
I don't see where the Messiah told the disciple to take care of Mary.
he passage where Jesus instructs His disciple to take care of His mother Mary is found in the Gospel of John. Here is the relevant scripture from the King James Version (KJV):I don't see where the Messiah told the disciple to take care of Mary.
