A lot of people say we are not to face God's wrath, I agree
1Thess 5:9; is the verse I commonly hear to support this. ..and yet...
1Thes 5:9; For God has not destined us for wrath, but for obtaining salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ,
It seems to me this verse is more about salvation than the tribulation. The tribulation is seven years.
The wrath of no salvation is forever.
But I have a question about that.... lets say there is a pre-trib for sake of argument. .. and let's say the reason it's pre-trib is because God doesn't want Christians to face wrath.
Dan 7:25; 'He will speak out against the Most High and wear down the saints of the Highest One, and he will intend to make alterations in times and in law; and they will be given into his hand for a time, times, and half a time.
Rev 11:7; When they have finished their testimony, the beast that comes up out of the abyss will make war with them, and overcome them and kill them.
Rev 13:7; It was also given to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them, and authority over every tribe and people and tongue and nation was given to him.
Rev 20:4; Then I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was given to them. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony of Jesus and because of the word of God, and those who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received the mark on their forehead and on their hand; and they came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.
Now a lot of people will say, well these are the people who get saved during the tribulation... well OK, if God doesn't want Christians to face wrath, then why do these Christians have to face wrath?
But let me take this a little further. There is God's wrath. A then there is the things the beast does to Christians. God is causing ( allowing ) the plagues in Revelation to happen. But I don't see that hurts Christians anywhere.
On the other hand, the beast is persecuting Christians at the same time. It looks like he will even kill some of them. We shouldn't blame God for what the beast is doing to people.
