A lot of people say we are not to face God's wrath, I agree,. But these same people say God's wrath is the tribulation, I disagree to a point. God's wrath is not mentioned until Seal 7 in chapter 6. And God has and can will protect his people from his wrath.
In fact we will see the satanic world of Devil being destroyed by the wrath of GOD according
Revelation 11:18to15(from the biggest to smallest)
but who will escape or will be free from the wrath of GOD? It's our own GOD who reveals and shows us how can that happen, by the way, it is marvelous to read and meditate on this, for our joy and praise to our GOD. Hallelujaaaah!.
The people still remember how GOD caught / raptured His people from the hands of the Egyptian oppressors ruled by Pharaoh.

Exodus 12:KJV
1 And the Lord spake unto Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt saying,
2 This month shall be unto you the beginning of months:
it shall be the first month of the year to you.
3 Speak ye unto all the congregation of Israel, saying, In the tenth day of this month they shall take to them every man a lamb, according to the house of their fathers, a lamb for an house:
5 Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year: ye shall take it out from the sheep, or from the goats:
6 ... and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel
shall sacrifice it in the evening.
Meditation : JESUS is our Lamb. Hallelujaah!
7 And they shall take of the blood, and sprinkle it on the two side posts and on the upper door post of the houses, wherein they shall eat it.

and with bitter herbs they shall eat it.

Exodus 12- Continuation from above
12 For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the Lord.
13 And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are:
and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.
14 And this day shall be unto you for a memorial; and ye shall keep it a feast to the Lord throughout your generations; ye shall keep it a feast by an ordinance for ever.
And Moses speaks to the people and gives them last instructions:
19 Seven days shall there be no leaven found in your houses: for whosoever eateth that which is leavened, even that soul shall be cut off from the congregation of Israel, whether he be a stranger, or born in the land.
20 Ye shall eat nothing leavened; in all your habitations shall ye eat unleavened bread.
21 Then Moses called for all the elders of Israel, and said unto them, Draw out and take you a lamb according to your families, and sacrifice the passover.
